Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg ground turkey
  • ½ red onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • c / n Salt
  • c / n Pepper
  • ¼ cup of sweet paprika
  • ½ cup black beans
  • ½ cup Charro beans
  • 1 can whole tomatoes, peeled
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ cup yellow corn
  • 1 pc Green pepper
  • c / n Olive oil

Process:

  1. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, bell pepper, garlic and cook until tender, 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add tomato paste, sweet paprika, spices and ground turkey. Cook separating the meat with a spoon, until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the black beans, bay beans, tomatoes, corn; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer until thick and chili flavor is achieved, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. It can be served over turkey hotdogs and garnished with cheddar cheese, cilantro, jalapeños.
