Chicken strips in batter

  • 800 gr chicken breast in strips
  • 2 pcs of egg
  • 350 ml of beer or VERY COLD mineral water
  • 1 to 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 lt Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste


For the batter:

  1. In a bowl place the 2 pieces of egg and add the baking powder and flour little by little until you get a very dense and thick paste. Add the beer or very cold mineral water until you get a pan-type dough. Season with the garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. In a pot, place 1 liter of oil and heat to 175ºC.

To coat the chicken strips

  1. Pass the chicken strips in flour and then in the dough.
  2. Fry in the oil for about 6 minutes. Remove and let rest on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
